JUNIOR FEATURE 21ST FEBRUARY 2009

The Junior feature night was a huge success, with 24 drivers nominating for the night.
Three heats of juniors were run for the night with quite a few different 1st placing across
 the board. Michael Bocian enjoyed his first night of racing in the learner car. Scott Parry had a bit of bad luck pulling off with a cracked head in his first race.

 The top 20 cars were able be in the final, leaving a few kids to watch from the sidelines. The final saw quite a few cars left on the infield some bent and broken, others with mechanical problems. It was a very exciting race, with the lead changing about 3 times. Calon Ball while leading had a coming together with Nathan Penn with only a few laps to go, sending Calon to the infield, and Nathan to the rear of the field. Tim Grylls got to the front of the pack for a very thrilling finish, followed closely by Michael Herbert and Harlee Madden.

All 24 kids were well rewarded at the end of the night going home with huge hampers of
motoring products. A big thank you to everyone who made this a very memorable night
for our juniors. Calon Ball went home with the hard luck award. Nathan Penn got best presented car. Most improved female went to Jaimie Sawyer, and most improved male went to Blake Watson.

Next meeting should see an awesome night of racing with a round of the Super Sedans.
At this stage there are 19 cars nominated for this event.
