FINAL NIGHT OF FUN HELD 16 MAY 2009
Well sorry speedway fans for the lateness of this final up date for the season.
A great night of racing and fun was had by all divisions. Six divisions hit the
track for an early start to the night of racing. Paul Colmer came back to have a drive
of the Tim Coxall Street Stock, managing to take out 1st place for the night. Mitch
Berliner had a very spectacular roll in his charade after getting a large tap from
another junior who found out what happens when you hit a rut in the track. Best
of luck to Mitch on getting your car back together again!
After the serious side of racing was finished for the night, some fun events were
had. There was a Ladies race, a ladies 125 race, a mechanics race and also a bucket race.
The Bucket race was 2 cars from each division, a bucket of water was placed on each
bonnet, and the last one still with a bucket was the winner. The Super sedans declined
this event, as they were not sure how to keep a bucket on their bonnet, the open wheelers
opted out of this event too.
The Modified boys were away racing the last round of the Metabo Series at Ellen Brook.
Peter Fraser took out 1st spot for the night followed by Aydan Trewern and then Brendan
Selleck. Overall winner for the series was John Purser 1st place, 2nd Mick Johnson,
3rd Jason Pearce.
